We will seek to ensure that all policies and activities enhance economic, social and environmental sustainability. FRAC recognises the importance of managing its own direct and indirect environmental impacts and will encourage others to reduce their negative impacts on the environment. We will seek to demonstrate to businesses, the general public and employees, the benefits of improving environmental practices. We will seek to involve these groups in decisions affecting the local and global environment. We will be explicit about monitoring and measuring progress towards sustainability.

The following objectives support the environmental policy:We will manage and improve our own environmental performance through implementation of an externally audited environmental management system when necessary. This is to be determined by the M.D. This will ensure that we undertake the following actions:

  1. Minimise environmental pollution and waste.
  2. Improve energy and water efficiency.
  3. Reduce the impact of vehicle travel by employees and encourage the use of alternative means of travel including public transport.
  4. Consider environmental issues on our purchasing decisions.
  5. Minimise the impact on the environment of all existing FRAC activities.
  6. Enhance biodiversity as a result of our activities.
